Among many other cars there is a real pearl, a true rarity, a car that is so sought after that its price still rises, and many companies (including the original manufacturer) are still producing spare parts for it. The car I’m speaking about was available only for seven years. This car is the now used Porsche 914. It was designed as a sports car, and in 1969, when it hit the market it was one of the best sports car available. About 300,000 units were produced during its seven years of production and every one of them was purchased. The engine of a used Porsche 914 isn’t very powerful by today’s standards, because it has only 80 horsepower (later versions had better engines with 110 horsepower), but in 1969, it was quite good as it was a Porsche that was meant to be available to everyone. But the most important thing about the used Porsche 914 is the fact that you can fit many modern engines into it, thus making your used Porsche 914 a real race car for amateurs. There are also many modifications available if you have bought a used Porsche 914 – a wide variety of customisations, including paint upgrades, body changes and many other minor “personalisations”.
